Les spécificités

de notre axe de recherche

Notre objectif général est de comprendre les anomalies moléculaires des voies de signalisation des cellules cancéreuses et de traduire les découvertes faites au laboratoire en nouvelles stratégies thérapeutiques. Notre premier thème de recherche porte sur les voies de signalisation impliquant les récepteurs à activité tyrosine kinase (RTK)/RAS/MAPK et les RHOGTPases pour comprendre leur rôle dans le contrôle de la prolifération cellulaire, la survie et la progression tumorale, et concevoir de nouvelles stratégies thérapeutiques. Nous étudions aussi la signalisation et les mécanismes de réparation des cassures double-brin (DSB) de l’ADN générées dans les régions transcrites, et leur rôle dans l’oncogenèse et la résistance aux thérapies ciblées. L’expertise de l’équipe à la fois dans les biotechnologies de pointe basées sur les interactions protéine-protéine-GFP, et dans la signalisation et la réponse aux dommages de l’ADN, contribue directement et indirectement à de nouvelles découvertes biologiques et cliniques ainsi qu’à l’émergence de nouveaux concepts dans l’étude de la résistance aux thérapies ciblées et à la découverte de nouvelles cibles. En collaboration étroite avec les services cliniques, nous menons une recherche translationnelle et clinique dans les cancers du poumon.
