LIPID Metabolites And Pathways Strategy (LIPID MAPS®) is an institutionally supported website and database that provides access to a large number of lipidomic resources used worldwide. Since 2003, LIPID MAPS® has been the international leader in the field of lipid curation, classification and nomenclature.

LIPID MAPS® generates tools and resources in the emerging field of systems lipidomics applied to biomedical research. This ranges from underlying mechanistic studies of tissues, model systems and pathogenic and commensal microbes, to the epidemiology of human cohorts. New open access databases, informatics tools and training activities focused on lipidomics are being created and made available to researchers studying lipids in health and disease.
