Bioinformatic analysis of the tumor and stromal compartments of patient-derived xenografts (PDX) revealed exchanges of cytokines, notably IL-18 and IFNγ, between tumor cells and the stromal compartment of a pancreatic cancer subtype (PDA). This work aims to understand the role of IDO1 in the development of PDA, focusing on the mechanisms of abnormal translation and their link with immunity and the development of CAF (cancer associated fibroblast) subpopulations.
