Presentation of the CREFRE UMS006 Inserm phenotyping service

Conference by Sophie Le Gonidec, Research Engineer, on Friday 15 October 2021 as part of the Comité d’Animation Scientifique -CAS

Within the Regional Centre for Functional Exploration and Experimental Resources (CREFRE), the Phenotyping Department offers a range of services for the functional exploration of mouse models. Our team has been supporting research in Toulouse and nationally for 15 years. Depending on the needs of each team and each project, the type of service ranges from simple equipment rental to complete management of a study.  “What is the effect of a treatment on peripheral blood pressure? ECG? Body composition? Do my KO mice have a higher/lower energy expenditure than control mice? Is their muscle function impaired/improved? Does my model have a defect in intestinal absorption? Renal or cardiac dysfunction? Does my treatment improve the blood parameters of interest?

We are developing our activity to help you answer your scientific questions. This presentation is an opportunity to take stock of the state-of-the-art equipment and expertise we have at your disposal and, for the future, what you would like to add.
