Isolation of single cells for gene expression analysis by NGS sequencing (10X Genomics)

This technology enables the capture of 500 to 10,000 cells/fresh, fixed or FFPE sample and the analysis of their individual gene expression.

This approach makes it possible to account for cellular heterogeneity. To better identify cell sub-populations or monitor the expression of a surface protein of interest, it is also possible to combine the measurement of individual gene expression with the identification of cell surface proteins using the CITE-Seq method (antibody/antigen labelling coupled to a nucleic acid).

The principle of the technology is based on the encapsulation of a cell in a droplet and the identification of its nucleic acids by a specific individual barcode.

Other applications are available: VDJ, ATAC-seq, Multiome (Expression + ATAC-seq), CRISPR screening, etc.​
