Optimisation of radiotherapy target volumes and assessment of treatment response with multi-modal imaging

Soléakhéna Ken

Multi-modal MRI allows the characterisation of tumour targets from an aspect other than morphology. Functional and metabolic aspects can be studied using perfusion, diffusion and spectroscopy modalities. The multiparametric maps derived from these different modalities can be used to characterise new therapeutic targets, and the analysis of longitudinal follow-up by “radiomics” can be used to assess the response to treatment.

This project is based on 2 research axis:

  • Search for early in-vivo imaging biomarkers to assess the response to treatment.
  • Search for correlation between these imaging markers and biological data.

Keywords:

Multi-modal MRI, radiomics
