AWARD

On March 14, 2022, in the magnificent salon of the Hôtel de Ville, the 27th Olga Sain Prize/Paris Committee of the Ligue contre le cancer was awarded to Dr. Laura POILLET-PEREZ, INSERM Research Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Jean-Emmanuel SARRY, head of the team “Metabolism and therapeutic resistance in acute myeloid leukemia” at the Cancer Research Center of Toulouse.

His work focuses on the role of autophagy in energy metabolism, which plays a key role in therapeutic resistance in acute myeloid leukemia.

This prize of 8,000 euros (half financed by a donation from Mr. Sain in honor of his wife who died of cancer, and by the Paris Committee) is awarded each year to a young researcher whose work on cancer is very promising.
