Oxysterols, lipid metabolism and nuclear receptors
We are studying the impact of oxysterols, including the new structural classes that we recently discovered, on the control of lipid metabolism with regard to their biological properties. We are identifying lipids whose levels are specifically modulated by these sterols via the transcriptional regulation of their lipogenic biosynthesis enzymes by nuclear receptors. Our objective is to provide new scientific data on the transcriptional control of lipid metabolism in relation to carcinogenesis.
