Being a Physician Scientist specializing in Pediatric Oncology, I am investigating the role of non-coding RNAs in the biology and therapy resistance of pediatric tumors, with a focus on circular RNAs. The aim is to use this knowledge and translate it to biomarker discovery and future RNA-based therapies for the patient.
Currently, I work as a Postdoc funded by the German Research Foundation(DFG) at the Centre de Recherces en Cancérologie de Toulouse, France and additionally I hold a guest scientist affiliation with the Charité – University Medicine, Berlin, Germany.
I actively review for the following scientific journals: Journal of Experimental and Clinical Cancer Research (Springer Nature), Cancers (Basel, MDPI), Scientific Reports (Springer Nature), Biomarkers in Medicine (Future Science Group), Experimental Physiology (Wiley) and Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology (Elsevier).
I hold memberships with the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), Advances in Neuroblastoma Research Association (ANR), International Society for Pediatric Oncology Europe Neuroblastoma (SIOPEN), German Cancer Consortium (DKTK), German Society of Pediatrics and Adolescents Medicine (DGKJ) and German Society of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology (GPOH).
