CRCT: how does it work ?
Direction Board: The CRCT Direction Board is composed of the Director Pr. Gilles Favre, the Deputy Director Dr. Stéphane Pyronnet, and the Administrative Director Mr. Sébastien Guibert. The Direction Board is in charge of taking decisions, responsibilities and representation of the Centre.
Council of Laboratory: The Council of Laboratory currently comprises 34 persons representing all the staff categories and structures of the Centre. This includes the Direction Board, 1 representative per research team, 4 representatives of Researchers and Professors, 3 representatives of Technicians and Engineers, 1 representative of Administrative Services, 1 representative of Students, 1 representative of Post-Docs, the Core Facilities Director, the H&S Coordinator, the Radioprotection Engineer, and the head of Store Dept. This structure meets at least once every 3 months to discuss all aspects of the CRCT life. It may invit external persons or experts if necessary. It is the CRCT “parliament”, where proposals are debated, votes are done whenever necessary, and Council of Laboratory proposals finally adopted lead to Director's decisions. A written report of Council of Laboratory sessions is emailed to all CRCT staff. The Council of Laboratory is in charge of writing, editing and adopting (upon formal vote) the CRCT rules and regulation.
Strategic Council & Steering Council: The Strategic Council comprises all the teams PIs, the Director of the Technology Center and the Director of IUCT-O, with one voice each, and votes when consensus cannot be reached. The Strategic Council is responsible for advising the Director on all strategic and scientific issues of the CRCT (launch calls for new teams, short-listing of candidates, technological implementations, preparation of our international Scientific Advisory Board and HCERES assessment, relations with institutions, etc...). The Strategic Council meets once per month. All issues addressed by the Strategic Council are prepared by the Steering Council. The Steering Council is composed of mission officers, each of whom have been entrusted with a particular field of interest:
- Scientific programs, PhD & post-doctoral fellows programs: J.S. Hoffmann
- Emerging teams: J. Guillermet-Guibert
- External recruitment, major projects, institutional relationships, scientific report: G. Favre
- Transdisciplinarity: P. Cordelier
- External relationships: J.E. Sarry
- Valorization: M. Poirot
- Structuration & animation of Transfer: S. Pyronnet
- Technological facilities: F. Lopez
- Administration & finance: S. Guibert
Scientific Advisory Board: For any integration of new research team, the CRCT shares his Scientific Advisory Board with the International Board of the Institut du Cancer de Toulouse-Oncopole. Furthermore, CRCT gathers his Scientific Advisory Board in order to review each CRCT team's project once during his institutional 5-year mandate, and advises the Direction Board and the Strategic Council on these respective projects and their adequacy for the future mandate. Upon further advice of the Strategic Council, the Director takes decisions on the final team's composition of the Centre.
